Non-foaming neutralizing and inhibiting agent suitable for the leakage tests of steel pressure tanks and cylinders provided with brass or aluminium valves and, besides, for temporary and inter-machinery operations anticorrosion protection of the parts made of steel, aluminium and copper alloys. It may be applied by immersion or spraying as the last operation just before the drying, after the last rinsing step. The surface passivated is of alkaline reaction and its compatibility with paints, if required, should be checked at first. The passivation process does not impede a subsequent phosphating.

Pragokor O 160
liquid agent for corrosion inhibition of steel and cast iron

Pragokor O 160
liquid agent for corrosion inhibition of steel and cast iron

Pragokor O 160 is suitable for the corrosion protection of steel and cast iron between following machinery operations by the surface adsorption of corrosion inhibitors contained and should be applied after both degreasing as well as pickling processes in machinery, automotive and steel or cast iron processing industries as the last rinse-free technological operation just before drying, after the preceding rinse. With regard to its low alkalinity and absence of any inorganic substances, it may be further used for the corrosion inhibition of the parts before painting.

Pragokor O 170
passivating agent for ferrous metals, both copper and aluminium alloys and for hydraulic pressure tests of containers

Pragokor O 170
passivating agent for ferrous metals, both copper and aluminium alloys and for hydraulic pressure tests of containers

Pragokor O 170 is suitable for the passivation rinses of the surfaces of both steel and cast iron parts and, furthermore, copper and aluminium alloys just after the degreasing, pickling, plating and other water-based surface treatment operations in which the active surface results. Moreover, the surfaces treated are temporarily protected against corrosion at their further assembly and storage. It proved the excellent protection capability against flash corrosion at the pressure tightness tests of metallic containers.

Pragokor BP
agent for passivation of phosphated steel, steel and aluminium and zinc alloys

Pragokor BP
agent for passivation of phosphated steel, steel and aluminium and zinc alloys

Pragokor BP is a liquid concentrate for the passivation of phosphated steel, without chromates or other ecologically troublesome chemicals. The salt content in the Pragokor BP bath is very low which accounts for a low loading of waste water with salinity. Due to the bath Pragokor BP, the microscopic pores through the phosphate coatings or other imperfections are passivated, the passivating effect being even superior to that of many other chromate-based passivating agents.

Pragokor BP will even passivate the active surfaces no-phosphated steel and aluminium and magnesium alloys, further zinc coatings and zinc castings after their degreasing or activation in other wet surface treatment processes. Moreover, the agent is of superior performance for the passivation of compounded materials, such as aluminium castings with embedded steel parts etc. and as a conversion adhesion layer under paints.

Pragokor Inhibitor 51
agent of high performance for both neutralizing and inhibition of steel, cast iron and copper alloys

Pragokor Inhibitor 51
agent of high performance for both neutralizing and inhibition of steel, cast iron and copper alloys

Low-foaming, both nitrites and chromates-free, emulsion-based agent with inhibition and neutralization affects, suitable for both temporary as well as inter-machinery operations-protection of steel, cast-iron and copper alloys against corrosion. It proves very well for the sealing and preservation of phosphate and alkaline blackening coatings and, unlike other preservation agents for metallic substrates, will not impede a possible subsequent painting. It should be applied by immersion or spraying techniques as the last operation just before drying, after the last rinse step. Once passivated, the passivation affect remains and the surface treated may be again rinsed in demineralised water because the corrosion inhibitors contained are strongly bonded to the surface by chemisorption. The surface passivated is compatible with all types of paints and powder coatings, only in the case of water-based paints the compatibility should be checked at first as the surface becomes a bit hydrophobic after the passivation. The feature of the agent is the high anticorrosion performance functioning even at a very low start-up concentration of the bath. To boost the inhibition affect, it is convenient to add the agent into the both degreasing as well as tumbling baths of the pH value ranging from weak acid to strong alkaline which results in passivation of the surface and anticorrosion protection in one combined surface treatment operation. In such a case, the compatibility with subsequent painting, if required, should be checked thoroughly at first. The addition of Pragokor Inhibitor 51 into the baths of the cationic-based agents must be avoided.

Pragokor Inhibitor Ms 4
agent of high performance for passivation of copper, silver and their alloys

Pragokor Inhibitor Ms 4
agent of high performance for passivation of copper, silver and their alloys

Non-foaming and corrosion inhibiting agent, making the surface treated hydrophobic, without both toxic chromates and nitrates content, convenient for the passivation of the active surface of copper, brass, bronze, silver and its alloys and, partially, zinc as well. As for copper and its alloys, the agent should be used either as an anticorrosion protection for the period between two consecutive machinery operations or as a finish treatment after degreasing, tumbling, pickling, surface burning, patina coating, plating or other water-borne operations. The agent forms a very thin transparent layer of adsorption corrosion inhibitors of the capability to passivate and make hydrophobic the metallic surface and, therefore, to boost its corrosion durability. It proves, besides, as an inter-machinery operations protection against the corrosion aggressiveness of the human sweat which may occur if the parts treated are touched with bare hands. The agent is fully compatible with the following solvent-based paints and powder coatings, increases their adhesion to the substrate and prevents formation of visual defects under the transparent varnishes.

Group of the agents Pragokor Seal Cu, Fe and Zn comprises water-borne varnishes convenient predominantly for the finish coating, sealing and preservation of the metallic surfaces or conversion coatings. In particular cases, they may be used as an irremovable inter-machinery operations protection against corrosion. They create thin polymeric colourless and transparent layers bearing both versatile and specific corrosion inhibitors, hydrophobic and preservation additives and other modifying substances. The polymeric layer, together with corrosion inhibitors, will create both mechanical as well as chemisorption barrier against the adverse activity of corrosion stimulators. The Pragokor Seal agents should be applied by dipping technique only as the last technological operation just before drying, after the last rinsing step. They may be alternatively applied for the clean and dry surfaces, the surface must be, anyway, wettable with water.

Pragokor Seal Cu
agent for the surfaře corrosion protection of copper, brass and other metals

Pragokor Seal Cu
agent for the surfaře corrosion protection of copper, brass and other metals

Pragokor Seal Cu should be predominantly used for the protection of copper, brass, bronze and other metallic substrates or copper-based metallic coatings and, further, for sealing and impregnation of passivated or patinized copper and its alloys. It offers, furthermore, the protection of the surfaces against darkening and will seal the pores in copper plated coatings. The varnish layer will create the decorative finish on copper and its alloys to ensure the long-term appearance stability of the surface treated. By the Pragokor Seal Cu agent, the same appearance stability is also imparted to both silver and aluminium substrates and metallic coatings made of them.

Pragokor Seal Fe
agent for sealing and impregnation of phosphated coatings on steel

Pragokor Seal Fe
agent for sealing and impregnation of phosphated coatings on steel

Pragokor Seal Fe is of a more versatile use. It should be particularly used for sealing and impregnation of the phosphate coatings on steel and blackening coatings on steel or cast iron, for the protection of nickel plated coatings against darkening and for pores sealing in Ni-Cr and Cu-Ni-Cr plated coatings. Besides, it will create an irremovable inter-machinery operations protection of the steel parts previously alkaline degreased or degreased and consequently acid pickled. Due to its versatility, the agent is suitable for the anticorrosion protection of the machinery parts made of more metals.

Pragokor Seal Zn
agent for corrosion protection of chromated and phosphated coatings on zinc

Pragokor Seal Zn
agent for corrosion protection of chromated and phosphated coatings on zinc

Pragokor Seal Zn should be predominantly used for the protection of chromate and phosphate conversion coatings on zinc, zinc alloys or cadmium plated coatings and will impart the enhanced anticorrosion protection to the substrates like that. The corrosion durability of the chromate coatings on zinc, topcoated with Pragokor Seal Zn, in the neutral salt spray test, until the first spots of white rust, was proved to be increased by 200 – 600 hours as compared with the unprotected chromate. Furthermore, the coating of the agent is able to make the appearance of the chromate more uniform, the undesirable iridescence being avoided. The Pragokor Seal Zn varnish coating creates the decorative finish on chromates and will impart the long-term stability of the appearance to the surface treated.

Pragokor Seal Si
inorganic-based sealing agent of the conversion coatings on zinc and aluminium

Pragokor Seal Si
inorganic-based sealing agent of the conversion coatings on zinc and aluminium

Pragokor Seal Si is suitable for the sealing of the conversion both chromate and non-chromate-based passivating layers on zinc and zinc alloys coatings, aluminium and its alloys, passivated zinc casts etc. The agent will boost the anticorrosion performance of the conversion coatings substantially and, hence, impede the onset of the first corrosion marks on the substrate. It should be especially used after the chromating processes without six-valence chromium components and will enhance the entire corrosion durability of the parts treated in the neutral salt spray test by 200 – 400 hours. The agent may be alternatively used in the cases when sealing with more common water-based organic lacquers is not allowed as a loosened piece of such a paint might cause the clogging and failure of hydraulic braking or cooling circuits. The agent is water-based colloid solution of a slightly milk-like appearance containing nanoparticles of the silica sol which, at the application from the water solution, will deposit on the surface of the conversion coating forming a very thin colourless and transparent silica gel-based layer. After drying out and dehydration of the gel, the network of siloxane bonds will be created which will add to the overall anticorrosion performance of the coating the thickness of which varies within 0,3 – 3 µm. The gel-based coating will improve the adhesion of the subsequent paints to the substrate and, for the water-borne paints, their spreadability as well if applied by spraying. The agent must be stored within the temperatures +5 - 30 °C, freezing must be avoided!

Pragolod 13
surfactant –based degraesing agent with passivating effect

Pragolod 13
surfactant –based degraesing agent with passivating effect

Pragolod 13 is a liquid, highly efficient both alkaline as well as surfactant degreasers of a high passivating capability suitable for cleaning of steel, cast iron, glass and ceramic ware. The agent contains adsorption corrosion inhibitors which may impart both inter-machinery operations as well as temporary corrosion protection to the steel parts to be degreased.

The agent is appropriate for the inter-machinery degreasing operations and for machine cleaning, e.g. in the WAP devices or in cleaning desks in the machine repair shops. It may be even used at lower application temperatures and, therefore, as an alternative to solvent degreasers including chlorinated ones at hand-assisted or machine cleaning.

Pragolod 14
liquid alkaline degreasing and tumbling agent of low foamability and with passivating effect

Pragolod 14
liquid alkaline degreasing and tumbling agent of low foamability and with passivating effect

Pragolod 14 is particularly suitable for the degreasing and cleaning of the steel and cast iron substrates between two subsequent technological operations and should be applied by spraying. It contains low-foaming surfactants and, hence, is convenient to be especially used for machinery cleaning, e.g. in the WAP spraying machines or in cleaning desks in the shops. Furthermore, it may be alternatively applied for cleaning at lower temperatures and, therefore, for both machinery as well as hand-assisted cleaning operations as a replacement for solvent-based degreasers including chlorine hydrocarbons. To boost the anticorrosion protection affect of the agent, its elevated concentration within 3 – 5% and drying without a preliminary rinse should be employed. Pragolod 14 is a liquid alkaline agent for combined technological operations degreasing together with surface passivation and is formulated on the basis of both low-foaming surfactants of high biodegradability and corrosion inhibitors. It should be particularly used for both spraying and immersion degreasing of steel and cast iron substrates and tumbling of ferrous metals. Besides, it may be used for passivation of ferrous metals after pickling or other technological operations in water – based agents if an active steel surface is needed to be pasivated. Pragolod 14 is completely free of any inorganic components which otherwise might cause salt deposits on the cleaned but still unrinsed surface. It is also applicable for the passivation of the ferrous surfaces after other degreasing operations, pickling in acids or tumbling operations of steel parts together with the passivation. At the agent formulation, both low foaming and passivating efficiency were emphasized and, therefore, compared with the similar agents of, however, enhanced foamability such as Pragolod Grato 12, Pragolod 13 or Pragolod 44, displays a slightly inferior degreasing performance. Pragolod 14 is a clear colourless or yellowish alkaline liquid (pH value within 10 – 11) completely miscible with water, the clouding point of the 5% bath being about 33 – 38°C and the pH value about 10.

Pragolod 55 UF
Pragolod 55 UF low-emulsifying degreaser with corrosion inhibitor the bath of which is capable of regeneration by ultrafiltration

Pragolod 55 UF
Pragolod 55 UF low-emulsifying degreaser with corrosion inhibitor the bath of which is capable of regeneration by ultrafiltration

Strongly alkaline, low-emulsifying degreaser of medium foamability, suitable for the bath regeneration by an oil separator and microfiltration. It does not contain any complex-forming substances and the surfactants employed are easily biodegradable. It should be especially used for removal of thick deposits of oil-based coatings applied before for the temporary protection, or of other strongly bonded impurities. The dispergator contained is highly efficient for cleaning from graphitic particles and filing dust which otherwise are very difficult to be released off the metallic surface. Due to the specific anticorrosion inhibitors, the bath of the agent even enables to degrease non-ferrous metals, such as copper, aluminium and its alloys and zinc, without their etching, despite the fact the bath is alkaline. Besides, the inhibitors will ensure inter-machinery operations protection of both steel and copper alloys parts after degreasing. Before the painting, it is necessary for a possible residual surface alkalis from the agent bath to be rinsed with water thoroughly.

Pragolod 90
low-foaming degreaser with passivating effect

Pragolod 90
low-foaming degreaser with passivating effect

Strongly alkaline and medium foaming degreaser together with the passivation effect in one bath, suitable for cleaning of steel. The agent is nitrites-free and its bath will create on steel substrate a very thin invisible passivation layer made of iron oxides and capable to protect it against corrosion. It should be applied by immersion in containers or by spraying in cleaning machines and used in such cases the excellent temporary anticorrosion protection is required. The possible residual alkalis from the bath must be rinsed thoroughly from the surface before painting.

Pragolod Grato 12
alkaline degreaser with passivating effect

Pragolod Grato 12
alkaline degreaser with passivating effect

A liquid, surfactant-based and alkaline degreaser of high performance and medium foamability, with passivating effect, suitable predominantly for cleaning of ferrous metals, glassware and ceramics. The agent contains the additives capable to impart a temporary corrosion protection to the metallic surface treated. It may be applied by wiping, immersion in containers, chamber spraying or in travelling-through spraying chambers, with the assistance of high pressure vapour or ultrasonic at the temperatures above 20 °C, with the respect to the character of the grease and the way of application. If a temporary anticorrosion protection and passivating effect of the parts after degreasing are required, it is recommended to add Pragokor Grato 12 in the concentration 0,2 – 1,0 % into the last rinse step, just before drying.
