Degreasing and striping agent of phosphate coatings

It is a liquid concentrate for the preparation of the bath for removal of phosphate coatings and residues of soaps and lubricants after drawing metallurgical operations. Furthermore, the agent may be used for degreasing of strongly contaminated or impregnated steel parts. Pragofos 1008 L should be used in combination with other surfactant components – Pragofos DT 1008 L for immersion application and Pragolod DT 57 as a low-foaming additive for spraying. The bath should be operated at elevated temperatures: 80 - 90 °C for removal of phosphate coatings while 60 - 80 °C for degreasing will do. With regard to the strong alkalinity of the bath, the agent is suitable for the substrates made of steel or cast iron only.
